A CASA volunteer:

People who give their time to CASA advocacy come from many different places. Some have years of education and professional experience working for children and families. Some have themselves grown up in the foster care system and felt the sorrow of having to move from home to home.

Being a CASA volunteer does not require any special education or background, simply the desire to help abused and neglected children find safe, permanent homes.

What it takes to become a CASA volunteer:

  • Must be at least the age of 21 and have your own transportation.
  • Take at least 35 hours of CASA-supplied training.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Background check.

"It takes all of us, a village of everyday people, to stand up and commit to making a meaningful difference in the lives of abused and neglected children, our children. And it starts very simply with one volunteer at a time."

To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice.

To give them a voice is to give them hope.

And to give them hope is to give them the world.
